For a matte visual texture the plain clay coats generates a natural yellow surface that is considered to be a very unassuming choice of finish.

In natural matte texture, the antique black finish infuses with the aura of antiquity. A base color of dark blue is first applied, and then a light layer of terracotta accent color is sprayed on top, creating a beautiful depth of color. It can go with almost any color theme or setting.

However, the statues lost much of their coloration during the two millennia laying underground. After excavation, the remaining of the faint coloration faded away in one week because of the sudden change in temperature and humidity.The faint coloration finish is to replicate the texture and appearance when the terracotta warriors were just unearthed.
